Course DescriptionThis course is for the moderately experienced computer user who wants to learn how to make a simple web page for personal or business use and host it on the Internet. The student should be familiar with MS Office applications and file management using Windows Explorer. We will cover basic and multi-page design as well as designing navigation controls, adding pictures and graphics, and posting your site on the Internet. We’ll also talk about strategies for getting traffic to your web site. Your InstructorYour instructor, Bob Weiss, is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), and provides consulting services for small businesses and residential customers in the areas of computer support and repair, computer networking, network and Internet security, web design and web hosting. Since 2002 he has taught evening adult education classes in Web Design and Computer Security for the Community Education programs of the Stillwater School District 834. In 2003, he began teaching at South Washington School District. in 2005 he began teaching a broad range of computer classes for the Mahtomedi program, including Computer Basics, Internet and E-mail, MS Word Intro and Intermediate, MS Excel Intro, MS Works, and Digital Camera Applications.
