So Much To Do, So Little Time

This class is an ambitious undertaking.  Learning everything you need to know to design a web site in 4 evenings is going to require a little extra effort on your part.  Here is what you can expect  will be necessary for you to successfully complete your web site.

In the Classroom

I have redesigned the curriculum so that we spend most of the time in class with our hands on the application actually designing a sample web site.  You may, if you prefer, try to design your own actual web site in the class.  We will be focusing on 5 or 6 key pages that every site ought to have in it, with the expectation that you will probably need to spend some time between classes, and after the class is over, working on your own site getting the additional content finished that makes your site unique.

Homework

Yes, there is homework. Rather than spend a lot of time discussing the technology behind web sites and the Internet, or web design theory and practice, there will be opportunities for you to do some reading on these subjects outside of class.  If you do the reading, you will get more out of the class, and probably do better on your site.
