Using the FrontPage Photo Gallery Tool

We are going to add a photo gallery to our practice web site.  Please watch me as I do it once, and then come back to the op of the page an do one for yourself.  If you don't have pictures to use, you can easily copy and save them to your My Pictures folder from the photo gallery at the bottom of the page.

You can easily add one or more photo galleries to your web site using FrontPage.

There are two ways to start the Photo Gallery tool.

  • Insert, Picture, New Photo Gallery

  • Insert, Web Component, Photo Gallery.

Click on the Layout tab.

Take a minute to look at each of the options.

The Horizontal Layout arranges the pictures in rows with the Caption and Description below each picture.  You can choose the Number of pictures per row.

The Vertical Layout arranges the pictures in columns with the Caption and Description to the right of the pictures.  You can choose the Number of pictures per row.

The Montage Layout arranges the pictures in a random pattern.

We will choose the Slide Show option for our lesson.

Now click on the Pictures tab.

This is what the finished photo gallery looks like:
