Hands on Practice - Marquee
|
The
example above is a Marquee. You may want to use this
feature to highlight or emphasize certain parts of your web site.
You can use a Marquee to announce a new product or
service, or other important change to your site.
Go ahead and choose a page from your site to add a Marquee.

Select Insert, Web Component.
-
Select Dynamic Effects from the left column.'

Select Marquee from the right column.
-
Click on Finish.

When
the Marquee Properties dialog opens, type your own
text in the text box.

You change change the Direction.
-
You can change the Speed.
-
You can change the Behavior.
-
You can change the Size of the Marquee.
-
You can set the number of times the Marquee will Repeat.

You can change the Background color.
-
Clicking on the Style button, and then the
Format button, will even allow you to change the font.

When you are done, click OK.
Go ahead and try out some different ideas.

You can view the Marquee in action in the Preview
screen.

You can make changes to the Marquee by right clicking, and selecting
Marquee Properties from the context menu.

Y ou
can change the size of the Marquee by clicking on it and grabbing a
handle in the corners or the middle.

You can move the Marquee left, center and right with the
Alignment buttons.
